Texas County Memorial Hospital emergency department can handle minor medical emergencies like cough, earache and sprained fingers to bigger emergencies involving stitches and x-rays to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The physician and nursing staff are trained in advanced cardiac life support and emergency care of adult and pediatric patients. The staff of the emergency department is also trained to handle mass casualties in times of disaster.
When you arrive at the emergency department we utilize a triage system that allows those with the greatest need to be seen and treated first. Our seven-bed emergency department is set up to provide the care you need when you need it. Our trauma room allows for life saving procedures and equipment to be immediately ready. Our OB/GYN room protects your privacy while providing your comfort.
The TCMH emergency waiting area is furnished with vending services for snacks and drinks as well as a pay phone.
The emergency department dispatches ambulances out of bases in Cabool, Houston, Licking and Mountain Grove. The TCMH ambulance service is also available to meet your needs every day of the year.
The ambulances are equipped with life saving equipment and the staff are trained in handling emergencies, large and small.
