Insurance billing

Many insurance companies now require preauthorization prior to services being rendered. This authorization may need to be initiated by you or by your physician. Please contact your doctor or your insurance company as soon as possible to receive your proper insurance benefits.

As a courtesy, TCMH will submit claims to your insurance company with the presentation of valid insurance information. Any verified insurance coverage will be accepted in place of cash payment; however, deductibles and co-payments may be due at the time of service.

Medicare

TCMH is a certified Medicare provider and will submit all claims according to Medicare regulations. Supplemental insurance claims will be submitted for deductibles and co-insurances.

Medicaid

TCMH is an approved provider of Medicaid services. Patients with verified eligibility may have their claims submitted in accordance with state regulations, however, non-approved services will be the patient’s responsibility, along with co-pays.

Charity Care

To ensure that quality healthcare is available to all patients, TCMH has a Charity Care program to assist the uninsured or underinsured. You may be eligible for this program based on your income and assets. Please contact our patient accounts representative in the Billing Department.

Patient balances

Our aim is to make your health care experience as stress free as possible. The goal of the finance department at TCMH is to supply you with affordable health care resolutions to fit your budget.

Hospital payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or Care Credit). Payments can be made online, by phone or in person at the TCMH Business Office or at any registration area located within the hospital.

If you are unable to pay your balance in full, payment arrangements may be made by calling us at the phone number listed on your billing statement. Payment guidelines have been established to assist patients in meeting financial obligations that may arise due to unexpected healthcare costs.

Our billing and patient accounts representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer questions regarding billing, payment options, or charity care. Our staff is located in the TCMH Business Office located on the north side of the hospital campus.

Price Transparency Tool

Please note that the cost estimate you receive could be more or less than your final bill. Certain factors, such as the actual services performed or changes in your coverage, may affect the actual amount you owe.
