Standard charges

Standards charges

Effective January 1, 2019 under the direction and compliance with the Affordable Care Act, Texas County Memorial Hospital is providing our standardized list of charges.

The standardized list of charges includes information that comes directly from the hospital “charge description master” (CDM) or chargemaster. Chargemasters include a detailed list of items billable to a patient or their health insurance provider. The list includes hospital services, procedures, equipment fees, drugs, supplies, diagnostics and laboratory tests.

Due to changes in costs associated with some items, the charges you receive may have changed since the list was last updated.

Due to variations in insurance contracts, and discounts offered to uninsured patients, the standardized list of charges may not be the best option for patients to use as a price comparison tool between hospitals or to estimate total out of pockets costs.
