New Generator Equals Better Patient Care
September 28, 2018Texas County Memorial Hospital has named Mariah Thompson of Cabool the August Employee of the Month.
Thompson is a pharmacy technician in the hospital pharmacy at TCMH. She has been employed at TCMH for four years. Thompson was nominated by her supervisor, David Phipps, pharmacy director.
“Mariah consistently does an excellent job for TCMH,” Phipps said. He added, “She takes care of our patient’s needs, our provider’s needs, and our clinic’s needs all while maintaining the most positive attitude.”
Phipps described Thompson as “indispensable,” always willing to work when needed.
“Most recently, with the pharmacy being short a pharmacist and two of our three technicians being out, Mariah worked 12 days in a row,” Phipps said. He further explained that she was not asked to work that much; she just did it.
Phipps explained that Thompson is constantly looking for the best prices possible and helps maintain the inventory in the pharmacy.
As employee of the month, Thompson received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a $50 gift card, and gift certificates to Paws N Claws, D&L Florist, Blissful Nirvana Massage, Wehr Motors, Savor Grill, and Big Red Car Wash. A reception will be held at the hospital in honor of Thompson.
Thompson is eligible for the 2018 TCMH employee of the year award.
