TCMH Healthcare Foundation Breaks Fifth Consecutive Fundraising Record at Annual Golf Tournament

TCMH Healthcare Foundation hosted its 19th Annual TCMH Charitable Golf Tournament sponsored by Simmons Bank on Saturday, June 7, at the Houston Municipal Golf Course. With 60 golfers participating, the Foundation raised $24,744.41, beating the previous record set last year.

The tournament featured an exciting 18-hole two-person scramble divided into four flights. Winners were announced across the Championship Flight, A-Flight, B-Flight, and C-Flight. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams in each category.

Stetson Evetts and Steve Slick won the Simmons Bank Championship Flight. Gary Lee Taylor and Short Tupper took second place, while Justin Brown and Jordy Norifalise took third.

The A-Flight, sponsored by West Plains Bank & Trust, saw Buck Wade and Danny Backas clinch the first position. Kevin Johnson and Alan Johnson finished second, with Alan Keeling and Gatlin Keeling finished third.

Doug and Donna Jones won the Town & Country Bank-sponsored B-Flight, followed by Bill Bridges and Jim Barnes in second place and Allie and Brady Strader in third.

In the C-Flight, sponsored by Hiett Land Title, LLC., Derek Wilson and Aaron Story secured first place. Connor McNew and Garrett Gorder clinched second, while Kenneth and Heather Reynolds finished third.

Additional contests around the course added an extra level of excitement. Rawly Gorman came out on top in the Closest to the Pin competition at Hole #3 sponsored by Justin Shelby State Farm Insurance. Bill Bridges landed closest to the pin in the VIP Properties Big Advantage Hole, while Ben Crawford claimed victory in the Longest Putt contest at Hole #6 sponsored by A& D Group, Inc. Justin Brown won the Piney River Ford – Vegas Par-3, and the Cape Radiology Group Longest Drive Competition at Hole #9 saw Heather Reynolds and Lee Smith drive the farthest.

Proceeds from the tournament will provide scholarships for healthcare-related occupations and resources for capital projects. The TCMH Healthcare Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure quality healthcare services at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
