November 13, 2015Texas County Memorial Hospital has named Chris Weaver of Houston the October employee of the month.
Weaver is a registered nurse in the TCMH emergency department. Weaver has worked at the hospital since 1998. He was nominated for the award by Jeri Sue Crump, nurse manager of the TCMH emergency department.
“Chris is one of the first RNs to obtain his emergency nurse certification,” Crump said, adding “It’s a big accomplishment.”
Crump described Weaver as “diverse” because Weaver provides coverage for the emergency medical services department; he assists with patient reporting in the ED; data retrieval in the ED, and other types of reporting required in the department.
“Chris always ensures that we have a quick response time to our patients’ health concerns, which can potentially save someone’s life,” Crump said.
As employee of the month, Weaver received a certificate honoring his achievement; a pin; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a $50 gift card, and gift certificates to Paws N Claws, D&L Florist, Janstiques and Blissful Nirvana Massage. A reception will be held at the hospital in honor of Weaver.
Weaver is eligible for the 2015 TCMH employee of the year award.
