Positive Monthly Financials Trend for TCMH
July 27, 2018Texas County Memorial Hospital has named Cheryl Branum of Raymondville the June employee of the month.
Branum is a registered nurse at TCMH Home Health of the Ozarks. She has been employed at TCMH for over 5 years, in both home health and in medical-surgical department. Branum was nominated for the award by her supervisor, Courtney Owens, hospice and home health director.
“Cheryl is always willing to help her co-workers out,” Owens said. She explained that Branum is flexible when it comes to scheduling and is always willing to have extra visits or admissions.
“We all love Cheryl and her ability to make everyone laugh and smile,” Owens said. She described Branum as cheerful and positive. Owens explained that patient satisfaction scores have been very high and that Branum is a huge contributor to that.
Owens explained that Cheryl works hard to set up home health services for patients as quickly as possible, sometimes turning a 6 to 8-week process into a week process.
Branum was awarded employee of the month previously in October of 2014, when she was an in-home services aide at home health. In 2014, Branum’s supervisor described her similarly to today—positive and willing to help when needed.
As employee of the month, Branum received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a $50 gift card, and gift certificates to Paws N Claws, D&L Florist, Blissful Nirvana Massage, Wehr Motors, Savor Grill, and Big Red Car Wash. A reception will be held at the hospital in honor of Branum.
Branum is eligible for the 2018 TCMH employee of the year award.
