It’s a girl!
Allison Rene Turnbull took the honors as the first baby born at Texas County Memorial Hospital in 2013. Baby Allison’s New Year’s Day arrival was followed an hour and 29 minutes later by her twin brother, Braxton Dale. The twins are the children of Samantha and Brandon Turnbull of Cabool.
Baby Allison arrived Monday morning at 4:31a.m. She weighed five pounds, 12 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. Baby Braxton followed at 6 a.m., weighing five pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Dr. Charlie Rasmussen, physician at the TCMH Medical Complex in Houston, delivered the twins.
The twins join their big sister, Korina, in the Turnbull home. Korina is almost three years old.
Ann Vandiver, Virginia Clark and Madge Elmore, representatives of the TCMH Auxiliary, presented gifts and gift certificates to Allison and her parents after her birth. Businesses and individuals throughout the county donated the gifts to the Auxiliary to present to the first baby born in 2013.
