Texas County Memorial Hospital has named Gina Baney of Houston the December employee of the month.
Baney is a registered nurse in the medical surgical department at TCMH, and she has worked for the hospital for three years. She was nominated for the award by Krista Elliott, education director at TCMH.
“Gina takes ownership of her job and the hospital, and she consistently projects a positive image,” Elliott said, adding, “She is a great role model for nursing.”
Elliott noted that Baney exemplifies “great teamwork”.
“Gina is a leader and an excellent preceptor for new nurses at TCMH,” Elliott said.
As employee of the month, Baney received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; a $50 gift card; gift certificates to Paws N Claws, D&L Florist and Janstiques, and cd of the month from Big Country 99. A reception will be held at the hospital in honor of Baney.
Baney is eligible for the 2013 TCMH employee of the year award.
This is Baney’s second time to win the employee of the month award. She also won the award for July 2011.
