Pain Management Clinic Opening at TCMH
May 18, 2018The Texas County Memorial Hospital Medical Complex sponsored sports physicals for area high school and middle school athletes at the TCMH Medical Office Complex on Wednesday, May 9.
Area students could pay $5 to receive a sports physical that day in preparation for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.
No appointment was necessary to receive a sports physical and students could come to the Medical Office Complex anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The low costs of the sports physicals and the convenient hours offered to receive one, made the event very popular.
“We provided sports physicals for 92 athletes,” Hope Best, TCMH clinic manager said. “We had a great turnout and my staff did an amazing job.”
Three advanced practitioners worked very hard to make sure that each athlete received excellent care. The providers who helped that day were Holly Atterberry, FNP, Sheena Painter, FNP, and Ray Bruno, FNP.
“I appreciate the great job the providers did taking care of the athletes in our community,” Best said.
Best mentioned that she received a “thank you” from Brent Hall, Houston High School coach, for the clinic working so hard to complete so many sports physicals.
“Being able to offer a service like this to our community is just one way we can try to help make things a little easier for our schools and show support of our area youth,” Wes Murray, TCMH chief executive officer said. “We strive to stay as involved as we can and we enjoy every opportunity that comes our way.”
