Healthcare Foundation Seeks Donations through Tax Credits

January 3, 2014Texas County Memorial Hospital gave out top employee awards and honored 42 employees with service awards at the Thirty-First Annual Celebration of TCMH Employees on Thursday, December 12 at Faith Fellowship Church in Houston. In attendance were approximately 125employees, some with guests, for a total attendance of about 200 people.
David Rosemann of Rolla took a top honor as manager of the year, chosen by the hospital’s administrative team.
Rosemann, an employee at TCMH since 2008, is the director of the plant operations department at TCMH.

“If it wasn’t for David, our construction project would not have been completed to our level of satisfaction,” Wes Murray, chief executive officer at TCMH said. Murray explained that Rosemann and his department played a key role throughout the construction and renovation.
“Over the past couple of years, David has made sacrifices for the hospital and our community that have been unseen by everyone,” Murray said.
Murray explained that Rosemann is known for looking at all angles of a situation and how all each department will be affected.
“David makes great decisions that benefit the entire organization,” Murray said.
Murray noted that Rosemann believes that “every person is his customer”.
“David’s personal goal is to make every department look good,” Murray said. “Very few managers have the level of respect for others that David has, and he is well respected in turn.”
This is the second time that Rosemann has received the top managerial award. He also received the award in 2009.
Gina Ross of Houston received the employee of the year honor.
Employee of the year is limited to the individuals who have received the honor of employee of the month since the 2012 employee awards ceremony. All employees are allowed to vote for employee of the year by choosing one employee of the month in a secret ballot vote.

Ross is registered nurse in the medical surgical department at TCMH, and she has worked at the hospital for three years. Ross won employee of the month honors at TCMH in December, and it was the second time she received the employee of the month honor during her employment at TCMH. Doctors, nurses, patients, visitors and other departmental staff members all interact with Ross in her role as a medical surgical department nurse.
“Gina is compassionate in the nursing care she provides her patients and their family members,” Todd-Willis said, describing Ross’s patient rapport as “excellent”.
Ross has worked in many different areas as a nurse, and she has developed “strong peer relationships”.
“Gina projects a positive image as a TCMH employee and as role model for others,” Todd-Willis said.
The manager of the year and the employee of the year were honored with an engraved plaque, $500 cash, a pin and a day of paid time off.
The TCMH Customer Quality Team honored two employees that exemplified excellent customer service in the hospital organization in 2013. David Jones, a floor maintenance technician in the housekeeping department, and Alison Clayton, systems administrator in the information systems department, were chosen to receive the honor.

Jones and Clayton were each awarded a plaque for their efforts and given a cash award.
The Customer Quality Team also recognized the TCMH information systems department as “Customer Service Department of the Year”.
The information systems department consistently provided excellent customer service to all departments within the hospital, while continuing to try to improve the quality of the service provided by the department. The Customer Quality Team noted that the Information Systems department took on a large work load in 2013with the hospital’s expansion project.
The department will receive a special meal in their honor.
Murray and Omanez Fockler, chairperson of the TCMH board of trustees, recognized employees with service awards. Recognized for five years of service were: Lacey Campbell; Diann Coble; Jerri Sue Crump; John Derrick; Sandy Gonzales; Jeff Ijames; Olivia Lake; Jessica Madden; Stuart Mitchell; David Phipps; Joe Putfark; Jackie Pyatt; Rosemann; Jennifer Smith; Jason Steelman; Cora Turnbull; Melissa Vaughan; Stacy Wilson and Nancy Wood.
Recognized for 10 years of service were: Myrtle Brown and Mike Stearnes.
Recognized for 15 years of service were: Patty Neal; Margie Smith; Lisa Steelman; Chris Weaver and Dana Wilson.
Joanne Bradshaw; Shannon Bridges; Cristy Buckner; Paula Corls; Pat Davenport; Dr. Stephen Hawkins; Michelle Jenkins; Charlotte Lands; Jerry Pursifull; Kathy Stilley; Jo Stout; Vanessa White and Tony Young were recognized for 20 years of service.
Kim Briggs was recognized for 25 years of service.
Michele Akers and Linda Hall were recognized for 35 years of service.
TCMH also gave out prizes to hospital employees that had volunteered at hospital events throughout the year.
